Miners and Rush announce No.1 ticket holders

The number one ticket holder is a largely symbolic yet prestigious position within a sporting club and this is no different at Basketball Ballarat. The GMHBA Ballarat Miners and Harvey Norman Ballarat Rush are pleased to announce that they have re-appointed their No.1 ticket holders for season 2015 as Steve Moneghetti AM and The Hon. Jaala Pulford MP.

Moneghetti and Pulford were chosen by Basketball Ballarat as we believe that they represent the core values of our Miners and Rush programs including; dedication, integrity, and supporting the local community.

Melissa Thomas, Basketball Ballarat Elite Team Administrator stated, “It is with pleasure that the GMHBA Miners welcome back Moneghetti as their No.1 ticket holder for the 2015 SEABL season.” Moneghetti revealed that “he and his family feel a strong and close connection to the premier sporting team in Ballarat and will support the team and program to the best of his ability.”

The Harvey Norman Ballarat Rush are also welcoming back Hon. Jaala Pulford MP as their No.1 ticketholder. Pulford indicated that she “takes great pride in her association with the Ballarat Rush and is looking forward to watching the club develop over the 2015 season.” Basketball Ballarat CEO Petter Eddy stated that “Pulford has been a strong supporter of womens sport in Western Victoria and it is great to have her back on board with the Rush.”

Both Moneghetti and Pulford are long standing supporters of the Miners and Rush programs and both mentioned that they would be “Honoured and delighted to continue in their roles as No.1 ticket holders”. As a part of their No.1 ticket holder’s position Moneghetti and Pulford will be invited to attend the player induction night, season launch and other promotional events for the Miners and Rush throughout the year.

This weekend marks the first of three weekends of travelling for the Miners as they head to Horsham for a pre-season tournament, the Rush will travel the following two weekends with the Miners to Albury-Wodonga and Geelong before having Easter off and then starting the season proper on April 10 at the MARS® MINERDOME against regional rivals Bendigo.
