GenU Training extend partnership

GenU Training have extended their commitment to Basketball Ballarat for a further 3-years as part of a new agreement supporting the Referee Program.

 

Basketball Ballarat Referee’s will now be featured with genU Training co-branding on their new uniforms.

Partnerships Manager Andrew Day was thrilled to announce the extension on Friday.

 

“It’s great to have genU Training extend their partnership and support our valued Referee Program. We have worked closely with genU Training to include their branding onto a brand new range of professional apparel for the referee’s and given the current circumstances around Covid-19 this is really positive news so we must thank genU Training for their continued support” Andrew Day said.

 

Training Manager Karen Cook was excited to continue with their commitment to the local referee’s.

 

“The main reason that genU Training wants to support Ballarat Basketball and specifically the referees is to make sure they know we recognise what a great job they do, that it’s not just about the players, but the whole club. Referees are an important and integral part of any game and sometimes their work goes unnoticed. genU Training felt it was important for all refs to have a uniform that reflects the look and feel of Ballarat Basketball but is also a tangible way for us to demonstrate appreciation for what they do and in this small way help to raise their profile.” Karen Cook said.

 

The investment from genU will help support the Referee Programs and continue to assist with the development long-term.

 

With the current circumstances surround Covid-19, Basketball Ballarat has continued to engage local Referee’s with online training tools, zoom meetings and the launch of their new uniforms for when competitions re-commence.

 

genU Training has also adapted similar response in their business by providing additional support for their students across the region.

 

“During the current pandemic genU Training has moved very quickly to support our current students to continue their studies and to welcome on board new students who are training in this new virtual world, offering our students the same benefits as our face-to-face training.

 

We have been able to adapt and move our training models to a more online version by the use of Zoom for classroom delivery and also our Learner Management System, which is where students can access their learning materials, assessments and support materials such as links to videos and other information relevant to their individual course.

 

The Virtual Training Rooms are interactive, allowing our students to still engage with their classmates and trainers and enjoy being a part of their learning community.

 

This mode of delivery has proved very popular, it’s allowed students to continue with their studies in a safe way and for many it’s enabled them to be at home with their children during this really difficult time.”
